Citywide is a non-profit making, accountable organisation which strives to achieve the highest standards in each of our services.

We have been providing catering and cleaning services in schools and non-educational buildings since 1990 and operate as part of Salford City Council’s Place Directorate at Turnpike Depot in Salford. Citywide has an operational policy for implementing the council’s corporate policies on employment, procurement, and equalities.

We currently provide meals to some of the most vulnerable children in the Northwest. We know for some children, their school meal will be the only meal they have, so we work with schools to ensure no child leaves the dining hall hungry. As a non-profit making organisation, we try to keep our meal prices as low as possible to encourage uptake. From speaking to schools and parents we know a lot of families’ finances are tight, and although they don’t meet free school meals criteria, the cost of school meals can be a costly expense.

Whether your catering service is in house, or you already have a contractor, we have more than 30 years of experience of providing school meals and we have experience dealing with TUPE. Our team will make the transition as smooth as possible for the school and the staff involved.
