Free school meals

Your child may be eligible for a free school meal.

All school children aged five to seven years who are in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a free school meal.

Children in other year groups may be entitled to free school meals if their families receive any of the following benefits:

• Income support
• Income related employment and support allowance
• Income based Jobseekers Allowance
• Universal Credit
• Support from the National Asylum Support Service
• The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
• Working Tax Credit
• Child Tax Credit
